Start with any ODD number, e.g. 5.

5 --> 11 --> 23 --> 47 --> 95 --> 5 STOP
15 --> 3 --> 7 --> 15 STOP
63 --> 9 --> 3 --> 7 --> 15 --> 3 STOP
997 --> 1995 --> 105 --> 15 --> 3 --> 7 --> 15 STOP
2021 --> 43 --> 87 --> 3 --> 7 etc
Collatz variation... Start with any ODD like 5. Here are the steps without giving the rules:
